Growing up, I always loved interacting with babies and young children which led me to start my childcare career as a volunteer at a local nursery. I soon realised the impact that a nurturing practitioner can have on young children’s development; a responsibility that I have become passionate about delivering. I especially love watching how children and babies develop and change into little learners and the fascination that they have when discovering the world around them.
I went on to study at The University of Portsmouth and now have a First-class BA (Hons) degree in Early Childhood Studies. My interests lie within outdoor learning and forest schools which was also the topic of my dissertation. The outdoor environment offers endless opportunities and provides open-ended resources which stimulate children’s curiosities which is why I love the idea of exploring and learning in nature.
I hope to continue working with young children and wish to inspire and nurture them along their individual journeys.
