Having started my career as a National Nursery Examination Board qualified nursery nurse, I have built my knowledge of early years education from the ground up.
Whilst being a mum to three beautiful children I have worked in the roles of Nursery Manager, Qualifications Assessor and as an early years author. I also ran my own training centre that delivered support specific to early years childcare.
I decided to take a break from the sector and attended university gaining a 1st class honours degree in BA (Hons) Business and Human Resource Management. This is where my love for people development and engagement really began. I worked as a HR Business Partner for Busy Bees before being promoted to Regional Director, following on from which I found my true home at Bright Minds Daycare.
I joined Bright Minds in early 2019 as Director of Operations. This role enables me to work very closely with the founders, but also very closely with the managers and practitioners. My core focus areas are curriculum, quality, safeguarding, training & development, culture, parent partnerships; and most importantly the children by making our settings a truly magical experience!
My desire for developing little people has grown into a passion for supporting and developing the early years talent of the future. I believe if practitioners are happy and fulfilled in their role, children will have the very best experiences and outcomes.
