I was born in Barcelona and moved to England a year ago. I decided to move from Spain to improve my English where initially I was an Au Pair in Youghal (Co. Cork) and then worked in a crèche in Dublin before I came to Birmingham. I wanted to focus on my carer progression and extend my knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and British Values.
I love to be around children and observe how they learn; this passion led me to study my Level 6 in Early Childhood Studies and Education. The thesis of my degree was about the relationship and impact early years professionals have with children and their families. Focusing on this aspect of early years has helped me to ensure that as an early year’s professional, I support the whole family to ensure that the child is at the centre and has consistent support to achieve their learning goals.
I am a very active person and love sports; I believe that sport is really important for both your body and mind. I have been studying Taekwondo for 10 years and have achieved a black belt. I also go to the gym regularly to keep myself healthy.
I am looking forward to developing sports and a wellbeing curriculum for the children at Bright Minds.
