About us

Bright Minds is a leading nursery group operating across Birmingham and Wolverhampton in the West Midlands. We are a child centred organisation created to provide families with high quality, rich & stimulating nursery environments which offer the highest level of care, support and learning facilities for children during their early years.

Our nurseries are grounded by a professional and practical approach to early years education, learning and play which allows us to deliver a programme that can be tailored to the unique characteristics of each child. In doing so we aim to ensure their ‘bright minds’ can flourish in an environment that can both inspire natural creativity and curiosity, whilst guiding and challenging each child to support their development in a safe yet nurturing setting.

We have used our in-depth experience and insights into child development and modern educational techniques, alongside the foundations of the EYFS Framework, to create the Bright Minds programme and offer outstanding nurseries in Birmingham. Our approach provides children with a tailored journey which stimulates their progression across core and enhanced areas of development. Bright Minds seeks to build solid foundations, via the EYFS Framework, through a child’s critical early years but also to develop upon these foundations with advanced skills and learning that can enable smoother progression in later education; creating greater confidence through their transitional years.

“At Bright Minds Daycare we put the child at the heart of everything we do; tailoring our care and support to the requirements of each child to enable their ‘bright minds’ to flourish.

We believe that children have the potential to #BeAnything with the right support and guidance. But, what do children want to be when they grow up? We thought we would ask some of our little stars…”

Our mission

‘We support the development of strong foundations that enable each child to achieve their unique potential.’

Through the provision of superior quality indoor and outdoor environments that are meticulously planned, children are encouraged to harness and apply all their senses to explore and investigate the world around them. Our approach balances adult led and child initiated activities to provide the opportunity for each child to learn through play, whilst being supported by adults who will ‘scaffold’ their learning. This enables tailored experiences that are focused upon individual developmental goals.

Bright Minds believes that children are able learners from birth however development can be enhanced through focused support across a number of core areas such as personal awareness, social development, emotional wellbeing, along with cognitive and intellectual growth. As a result, children in our care are encouraged to solve problems and think critically through being set tasks that challenge their minds whilst also feeding their imaginations.

A primary aim of Bright Minds is to provide the very best nursery environment for your child which begins with each physical setting. Our expansive buildings offer a wealth of space, charm and character in prime urban locations. Each provide a warm and nurturing yet exciting home-from-home environment complete with first-class facilities, both inside and outside, that can stimulate development whilst also inspiring their imaginations!

Corporate Social Responsibility

The chosen charity we support at Bright Minds is NSPCC West Midlands as a result of the fantastic work they do for children in the community; helping children who’ve been abused to rebuild their lives, protecting those at risk and finding the best ways of preventing abuse from happening.

In 16/17 there were 2,606 sexual offences against children under the age of 16 recorded by police in the West Midlands. 3,247 children were subject to a child protection plan and there were 6,045 children in care in the West Midlands. The NSPCC estimate that across the UK, for every child identified as needing protection from abuse, another eight are suffering abuse.

Bright Minds Daycare will hold fundraisers over 2018 with the aim of raising money for the NSPCC West Midlands to help them continue the critical work they do.
